♡ Where is Makeup by Keria Located?

Makeup by Keria is based out of Niles, Michigan but has a studio space that she often uses for trials in South Bend, Indiana.
We love to travel and are willing to travel worldwide for your makeup needs!

♡ Is Makeup by Keria certified?

Yes, I have completed an airbrush certificate course with Makeup First School in Chicago

♡ Is Makeup by Keria insured?

Yes, as an LLC Makeup by Keria holds both professional and liability insurance coverage.

♡ What is the benefit of airbrush foundation over traditional foundation?

Airbrush makeup is great because it looks fabulous in person and also looks phenomenal on camera. Airbrush makeup is much more versatile than regular foundation because it can be as natural to as full coverage as you want/need it to be. It can completely cover blemishes and even tattoos while maintaining a natural blended with the skin look. Airbrush makeup will last your whole wedding day and you will look flawless!

♡ Is Makeup by Keria using cruelty free makeup products?

Makeup by Keria’s products that she uses in her kit are about 95% rated as cruelty free. She does use Benefit Cosmetics mascara, they do claim to be cruelty free but makeup brands that sell in China have to provide tests on animals….. which unfortunately MAC Cosmetics is one of these brands which Makeup by Keria does not use. Here is a list of cruelty free brands.

♡ How do I book Makeup by Keria?

First I ask all of my brides to please fill out my contact form The form will give me the information that I need to let you know if we are available for your wedding day or not. After I receive your contact form and I'm available I will send you a service quote via email.

♡ When should I book Makeup by Keria?

If you are planning your wedding during “wedding season” it is better to book sooner rather than later. Please inquire ASAP to check the availability of your wedding date. It's recommend to book as early as 9 months before your wedding date, if you wait to long (up to 2 months before wedding) you may miss out on booking your makeup artist of choice. 

♡ What forms of payment do you accept?

For deposits, Makeup by Keria accepts check, money order, debit card, and credit card. On the day of the wedding, Makeup by Keria only accepts cash, credit card, or debit card.
KERIA DOES NOT ACCEPT CHECKS ON THE DAY WEDDING.

♡ Does Makeup by Keria travel? and if so where?

Yes, Makeup by Keria travels throughout Michigan and neighboring states. Please note that there is a travel fee depending on location.

♡ Is there a travel fee?

Yes, a travel fee is charged depending on the bridal prep location. The first 50 miles are free from Niles, MI then there is a $1 per mile fee after.

♡ When should my makeup be completed?

Most wedding photographers will go over a timeline of your wedding day, you will want to have your makeup completed for the first shots of the day which include: putting your dress on, first look, or formals. Some brides chose to have photos done during makeup application, contact your photographer and Makeup by Keria to list out details for your day.

♡ How long does the makeup application take?

Makeup by Keria asks for 30 minutes per person but Keria spends more time with the bride on her wedding day so we ask for 45 minutes to an hour.

♡ How should I prepare my face for my makeup application?

Please arrive at your trial and wedding day with a makeup-free, clean face, and don't forget to moisturize the night before!

♡ How do I schedule a trial run?

When setting up a trial run, please choose a few available dates/times on your schedule so we can ensure Makeup by Keria is available.
Trial runs are included with a retainer payment or can be purchased before booking. Trials included in your bridal package take place 90 days before your wedding date.

♡ Where will my trial take place?

Once we have been in contact, we will set up a time and date for your trial at my studio location. (By appointment only) If you prefer, we can travel to you for your trial run, but a travel fee may be incurred.

♡ Can other bridal party members have a trial?

Trial runs can be purchased for other bridal party members.​

♡ How soon should I schedule my makeup trial?

A trial should be scheduled far enough in advance to make changes as necessary. We recommend 3 months up to 4 weeks before your wedding.

♡ What if I change my mind about my look after our trial?

If after you have a trial run and you decide that you want to do something different for the day of your wedding, you can email me pictures of inspiration for me to follow for the new look or you can reschedule another trial run, and we can try the new look. Additional trial fees may apply.

♡ Is it necessary for me or my bridesmaids to have a photos of the makeup looks we would like?

Having pictures of the makeup that you want/like is great to have as a reference. If you're not sure, we'll be happy to make suggestions. Keep in mind that everyone's eyes/face different, but a picture helps us to know the style you're going for.

♡ I have makeup allergies, what should I do?

Please let Keria know ASAP if you have any skin allergies or reactions to any makeup products.

♡ Are items sanitized after each use?

Makeup by Keria clean and maintain a sanitized work area including makeup, brushes, and other items. Makeup by Keria is equipped with multiple brushes and brushes are cleaned between use with a professional grade brush cleaner and 70% alcohol. All lip products and eyeliners are also sanitized with 70% alcohol.

♡ What is the best way to leave a review for Makeup by Keria?
